How are conjunctival tumors treated?

Conjunctival tumors: Tumors of the conjunctiva, like those elsewhere, can be benign or malignant. If benign, and large or unsightly, then simple excision is done. If malignant and primary excision is done and may be followed with chemo or radiation. If metastatic, than the source tumor must be sought and treated.

Conjunctival lesions: Most are excised and then the patient is followed closely. If the lesion is pre-cancerous or cancerous, adjunctive cryotherapy (freezing treatment) or topical chemotherapy may be needed.
