Medulloblastoma: Medulloblastomas are malignant fast growing tumors that arise in the cerebellum or posterior fossa. There are a variety of cellular subtypes and prognosis is based on size, location, extent of surgical resection, and the presence or absence of metastatic spread into the cranial spinal axis. Genetic testing of tumor subtypes can determine prognosis as well. Check out the ABTA for more information.
