Vision after surgery: It depends partly on what you had the surgery for. If you had a retinal detachment, then there are multiple causes of vision problems, even after surgery. Some are related to the detachment itself and others can be related to the surgery. For example, a cataract after retinal surgery is a common problem that causes visual deterioration and is related to the surgery.
