Anxiety are fears: Anxiety is a natural feeling that helps us avoid harm. Some of us are born or develop a hyper active autonomic nerve system and unwarranted fears rules our life. It is unlikely that .5 mg of Ativan (lorazepam) will make you stop breathing, unless combined with sedative medications or Alcohol. With your weight you are at risk of Sleep Apnea, but start moving, exercise will lower your risk and your anxiety.

Probably not: But, if you do have apnea - or might - it may be good to discuss the use of Ativan (lorazepam) w/ your provider. Being a bit overweight - sleep apnea might be a concern. If you are certain it is not - Ativan (lorazepam) will NOT be a problem. When you talk to the doctor be sure you understand any Rx you accept. Best!
