Probably not: This sounds like a viral upper respiratory tract infection, but could be sinusitis, allergy, and so on. Only way to determine cause and potential need for antibiotics is to be seen, examined and treated by a professional. Good luck.

No: This still sounds like your average viral respiratory tract infection. The fact that nasal drainage has become colored does not mean it is bacterial and warrants antibiotics. It means the body is doing what it is supposed to by sending white blood cells to the area to fight the infection, which causes the change in color of the mucous. She is tired because her body wants her to rest.
