A member asked:

Why did my period only last for a day and a half? i am sexually active, 18, and take the birth control chateal. periods usually last 3-4 days.

OCP's: How long have you been on the pills? The beauty of oral contraceptives is that you are protected from pregnancy and that the amount of blood flow is usually reduced because the pill encourages a very thin endometrial lining rather than the thicker lining usually produced naturally. If you are "lucky" your "period" will be nothing more than a half a day of spotting when you wipe! Don't forget pills
