No aspirin: Aspirin is a salicylate. Chlorzoxazone does not contain aspirin and is not a salicylate.

Possibly: A recent study (burn et al 2011, lancet) suggests that an Aspirin a day reduces cancer risk in carriers of hereditary colorectal cancer. Further studies need to be completed to evaluate an Aspirin regimen for risk reduction of sporadic (non-inherited) colon cancers.

The evidence is being studied and i agree with Dr. Rosen. Ask your own health provider before you start on Aspirin to determine if it is right for you.

Is it bad to take aspirin and nurofen together? I woke up with a terrible headache, and took an aspirin. Now I have some bad period pain :(

Ok if short-term use: Nurofen contains Ibuprofen (motrin or advil (ibuprofen) in the U.S.). Aspirin is a similar anti-pain, anti-inflammation drug, but Aspirin can cause more stomach upset. For typical, occasional headaches and/or menstrual pains, using normal doses of either or both on the same day is probably ok (for short-term use). A doctor should evaluate bad pains or prolonged symptoms to rule out more serious problems.
