Dry skin: Hot water removes oil and results in itchy dry skin. Better to use warm water and less soap.

Not a good idea: Hot water can actually dry out your skin, and for individuals with sensitive skin or eczema, lukewarm showers and baths are preferred. I love adding petrolatem to the bath to increase hydration or apply a soy based moisturizer on after getting out of bath or shower when skin still wet
