Shellfish Allergy: First step is to determine what reaction you have when eating shellfish. Typical allergic reaction involves hives, swelling, throat tightness, wheeze, vomiting, or passing out within minutes to 2hrs after food ingestion. If this sounds like something you experienced then see an allergy for skin or blood testing to confirm. If positive you will need to avoid all shellfish and carry epinephrine.
