A member asked:

Would ciloxan (ciprofloxacin) ointment helps heal or makes cratched cornea worse?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Slightly slower: Ointments of any kind delay corneal healing of abrasions. Ciloxan (ciprofloxacin) can be useful for infection but most scratched corneas are not infected. But the use of a liquid drop rather than an ointment is preferable.
