No: Mastocytosis is caused by mutations in the DNA that lead to increased mast cell growth. These mutations occur randomly, not due to pregnancy or labor. Hormonal changes in pregnancy may exacerbate the symptoms of mastocytosis, or can also lead to other problems like hives during or after pregnancy.
