How do pediatricians freeze off warts?

Depends on situation: In my office I use an applicator shaped like a oversized pen.It contains a cartridge of NO2 that comes out of the nozzle at -170 degrees F. The wart is frozen several times and pared down with special tools. Some patients elect to have a local anesthetic.
