A member asked:

Is it normal to have light bleeding from the rectum after small bowel resection? it seems to be round the feces but not in it. there's no pain.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Maybe: Slight bleeding could be from hemorrhoids or other anal condition. Cirrhosis can cause abnormally enlarged veins to occur in the gastrointestinal tract that could bleed. Best not to wonder & best is to contact your own surgeon who performed the surgery to get proper information for your own specific situation & conditions.
