Drink fluids: The main think you need to do is hydrate. That is drink plenty of fluids. Try not to drink coffee or tea or anything too sweet as these may worsen your symptoms. A bland diet can help too. If you see blood when you go, or have pain or fever you need to be seen by a doctor. In the future, try to eat plenty of fruits, vegetables and whole grains that are high in fiber as this can help.

Stay hydrated: You should be careful not get dehydrated as a result of diarrhea. Moreover if you use laxatives inappropriately this could results in blood electrolyte imbalance and promote heart arrhythmias along with acid base disturbances that can cause you more than extreme diarrhea.
