Mental Hygiene: "mental hygiene" is the historical precursor to modern movements promoting mental health. Dr. Isaac ray (one of the founders of the american psychiatric association) defined mental hygiene as "an art to preserve the mind against incidents and influences which would inhibit or destroy its energy, quality or development." it's aimed at maintaining positive mental health, and preventing disorders.
