Anatomy: Your heart is not on the right side. It is not on the breast line. Your PCP is right. This is not cardiac. But it is something. Most often these are muscle spasms from injuries, from stress (holding stress in your chest causes muscle fatigue) or infection.

Very atypical: sounds very atypical and unlikely your heart but if see a cardio make you feel better , I'm sure they can set up a stress echo to assess your heart. No IV , no radiation and gives a great deal of information.
