A member asked:

If emergency contraceptive pills cause acne to some patients, how many days or months will the latter disappear? generally, how can it be managed?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Up to 2 months: As you can imagine, your hormones get thrown off when you take emergency contraceptives. Therefore, I would say one to two cycles should get your body back into normal mode. So, in other words, give it two months. If after 2 months, still having issues, see a dermatologist. In the meantime, you need to identify whether you have dry or oily skin and use a cream or a gel to treat. No makeup.
