Unsatis pap: An unsatisfactory pap solely means the sample they collected at the time of your exam was insufficient to make a diagnosis. (Most likely of normal) Bleeding at time of exam can increase the potential of this occurring. With no history of abnormal paps and negative HPV status, waiting 6 months to a year to repeat is appropriate.
