If i'm on birth control pills (microgestin fe) can i take the plan b pill for more coverage? will this effect me?

Birth control pill: Microgestin FE is birth control pill containing estrogen and progesterone. Plan B is a progestational agent. There is no need for extra coverage if you have been taking the pill properly and have not been on antibiotics. The additional Progesterone could cause break through bleeding.

OCP plus ECP: If you are taking an oral contraceptive correctly & regularly - then Plan B would not be needed. Adding it could increase possibility for side effects. Potential side effects w emergency contraception include: menstrual flow changes (spotting, bleeding, early or late period), nausea, vomiting, dizziness, fatigue, headache, breast tenderness & abdominal pain or cramps.
