Depends: Some examples: if hearing deficit due to wax- get it removed, hearing will improve if due to fluid behind the ear drum-then ear tubes and medicines if due to burst ear drum- tympanoplasty/myringoplasty/ hearing aid if due to a nerve damage, probably hearing aid.
