Involuntary facial muscle spasms a sign of some big problem?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Could be: Most likely they are benign and not a sign of a big problem but first determine what is causing the spasms. It could be an indication of serious underlying disease that requires treatment. Central tumors or hormone dysfunction or electrolyte abnormalities are just a few of the causes which should be treated and not ignored.
