Does carbamide peroxide affect tooth enamel?

To some extent.: While it is true that teeth whitening by bleaching does work, it does not come without side effects. There are many reported incidents of increased tooth sensitivity after bleaching. Prolonged exposure to bleaching agents can damage tooth enamel. Ideally, bleaching should not be continued to a point where surface enamel is lost, and studies suggests carbide peroxide use should not exceed 7 days.
