Here are some ...: Some discomfort on voiding may linger for a widely variable duration even after successfully treating bacterial UTI, but such discomfort should gradually get better day by day if, indeed, Rx was a success. If not, do urinalysis and urine culture as well as cystoscopy to make sure the healing is favorably progressing or if something else such as stone, tumor, or interstitial cystitis does exist.
