How much time does it take for the drug synthroid (thyroxine) to start working?

Awhile: Hi. It takes l-thyroxine (Synthroid, Levoxyl, Unithroid, others, & generic) about 6 weeks to be at a stable level in the blood, although some effects can be noticed in as little as a couple weeks. Be patient. It's worth it!
