A member asked:

How much time until the effects of an overdose take place?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: Depends upon the medication taken - timed release?, the sequence of the overdose - all taken at once?, any co-ingestion, and the route of administration. If ingested, depends upon contents of the GI tract. A routine estimate of thirty minutes to onset with peak effect being noted later is reasonable for an oral medication overdose.
