Other problems?: a slight underbite should not prevent you from speeking normally. There might be another reason for your speech problem. A speech pathologist can help diagnose the real issue.

2 suggestions: 1. Get the underbite fixed. If you have an underbite coupled with a speech defect you probably have a significant skeletal malrelationship. See an Orthodontic Specialist for a qualified opinion. 2. Seek consultation with a Speech Pathologist who can work with the Orthodontist to improve your neuromuscular function.
