Consult your OB/GYN: You need to visit an OBGYN. I am not sure if your age is correct on here, 48. Some women have dysfunctional uterine bleeding. When periods are especially heavy or high in volume, a woman needs to visit an OB/GYN to look into different causes. Studies show that an intrauterine device with levonorgestrel actually satisfies patients more than 21 day progestin for menorrhagia. Good luck.
