Abreva/ Valtrex (valacyclovir): Abreva (topical Docosanol) is an antiviral medication that can be used to treat recurrent oral/ facial herpes simplex virus infections. Valtrex (Valacyclovir) is a nucleoside analogue DNA polymerase inhibitor. Both decrease replication of the Herpes Simplex virus.
