CSF Analysis: Analysis of spinal fluid demonstrates increased immune activity in the spinal fluid compared to serum, presence of the breakdown of myelin, presence of clones of antibody and paucity of cellular proliferation. IgG index, myelin basic protein, oligoclonal bands and cell count that is normal. There is no definitive test for multiple sclerosis.
