BHT: Butylated Hydroxytoluene (BHT), a food preservative antioxidant, is the cheapest, most effective therapy for herpetic attacks. BHT is available from some health food stores, or on line. At first sign of herpes outbreak, take 2,000 mg BHT per day, in divided doses. BHT will result in rapid resolution of the lesions.
