Headache: In pregnancy, eclampsia/preeclampsia must first be ruled out. Blood pressure must be checked as well as urine for the presence of protein. Magnessium sulfate will decrease BP and alleviate the headache of these entities. Opoids, acetaminophen, NSAIDS ie ibuprofen, and Triptans ie Sumatriptan can be given otherwise. Consult your obstetrician.
