Self Esteem: Being socially isolated can negatively affect a child's self-esteem, increasing the risk of depression. Attached is a link to a good overview of how to build your child's self esteem. In doing so, hopefully he'll feel more confident to be around other children & no longer remain isolated, breaking the cycle.
