No cure: Acne isn't curable. Eventually it will remit on its own, but there's nothing you can do to speed this. Until then, topical benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid and/or a retinoic acid derivative as tolerable will help; if this does not clear you in two weeks, get with your personal physicain who can add something that will clear you.

Yes and no: There is no treatment for acne scars that results in flawless skin, regardless of skin color. That said, dark skin does present unique challenges because it is more susceptible to pigment disturbance. You can begin with topical creams aimed at texture and pigment such as salicylic acid, aha, retinoids, and bleaching agents. A fractionated erbium laser may be helpful if your skin isn't too dark.

Sun of a Beach!: There are many supposed causes of the problem from genetic to internal to external/environmental--and lots of hype products that say they'll cure you. That's best left to a professional, at least for a consult (a cosmetic dermatologist or aesthetician will do).And while you are waiting for your appointment, think about medications, allergies, soaps, cosmetics, junk foods, total sun exposure and vitamins
