Depends: Without intervention (surgery), anything but what is called a "Stage 1" macular hole will not heal. If it is a "Stage 1" macular hole, it will go away in about 50% of the time over weeks to months. If it is a "Stage 2-4" macular hole, surgery will be required, and vision recovery after surgery takes weeks to a few months. An evaluation by a competent retina specialist might be helpful.
