See below: Docetaxel is an anti-cancer drug. It's useful in a number of malignancies, such as breast cancer, prostate cancer, lung cancer, etc. The drug interferes with cells which are trying to divide (to form two daughter cells). A greater percentage of cancer cells are trying to do that at any particular time than non-cancer cells. Typical side effects include numbness and low blood counts.
