Electrical impulse: Very simple explanation: The light hits the photoreceptors. This starts a chemical reaction that initiates neurons to send electrical impulses to the optic nerve, tract, radiation and onto the visual cortex. Here your brain processes the information, again through electical impulses , and creates a visual image.
