A member asked:

What amount fluid intake does a 7 year old boy who had diabetes insipidus need?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Normal: Hi. Let me go out on a limb here AND ASSUME THE LI'L GUY IS BEING TREATED WITH DDAVP (desmopressin)!!!! Then normal fluid intake. Make sure he feels the DDAVP (desmopressin) wear off on a daily basis as a buffer against water intoxication.
