Complidations.: Some causes of maternal death include: hemorrhaging, infections, extremely high blood pressure (pre-eclampsis & eclampsia), Disseminated intravascular coagulation, deep blood clots with pulmonary embolism, & obstructed labor (cephalo-pelvic disproportion, malpresentation with complications like uterine rupture or sepsis).
