Not easy: Gynecomastia can be caused by obesity, side effects of medications and marijuana, and by the hormones produced by brain or testicular tumors. The enlargement can also rarely be caused by male breast cancer. The first step is to get a thorough physical exam to rule out the dangerous causes. Then, surgery or non-surgical treatment can begin. Weight loss / drug avoidance are the only free options.
