How to find the balance when people want to know about your disability?

Do you mean at work?: Is your disability readily apparent? If so you don't need to say anything. If it is not obvious and you need an accommodation from your employer it is best to see an occupational medicine physician have them provide your employer with a work restriction letter so that your can work despite the disability. Then you can reveal what you want to whomever you want on your terms.
