Minor and major: There are many potential side effects, usually minor and local and some major. As a general principle, the stronger the medicine one takes, the increased potential for side effects. Imitrex is quite a strong medication- caution if over 50 years, arrhythmia, taking additional medications like ssri (celexa, prozac).
