A member asked:

The last 4months i used my bc pills to skip periods. i took the inactive pills this month and my period is longer than normal. why?wil it level out?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

This is normal: When you took the birth control pills continuously for 4 months, you had extra hormonal stimulation to the lining of your uterus. It is not unusual to have a heavier period. It will straighten itself out if you keep taking the inactive pills monthly.
