Second week of April: Actual conception could have occurred any time between April 7 and April 16. If you conceived from sex on April 27 the test would not be positive on May 5. Of greater concern is that the HCG levels are low. Normally they double every 2 to 3 days and they are falling short of this. You are at risk of a miscarriage or even an ectopic so you need to get checked.
