Seek prof care: There's no effective do it yourself remedy, pill, poultice, homeopathic, or salve. Inflammation is sign of gum infection. Assuming disease has not progressed to point of gum/bone loss, a professional cleaning followed by daily thorough and complete oral hygiene (follow Dentist or Hygienist's instructions conscientiously) will prevent recurrence.
