Yes: flexion and extension movements of the neck during vigorous laughing can cause muscle spasm which is transmitted to the occipital region and then can cause a tension type of headache.

Back pain neck pain and headaches daily caused by tightness of muscles, posture. What do I do? Have cp mild and pt hasnt worked well?
Neck pain an hour after waking. It's a tight feeling. Then the headache starts. Diclofenac and a heating pad helps with the pain. This is off and on throughout the day. What else can I do besides muscle relaxers and pain meds?
