Maybe: Activity with a hernia should generally be limited by symptoms, particularly pain. Enlarging hernias can also present a problem due to mass effect, but this usually only when they become larger than a softball, however it is highly variable. Best to see a general surgeon for a consultation. You can find one interested in hernia repair on the Americas Hernia Society website. Hope this helps!
