Various causes..: Although controversial, evidence have shown that tight dark clothing, non cotton underwear, poor hygiene, moist area have been associated. In diabetics poor blood sugar control may trigger yeast infections.

Frequent yeast infec: There's no easy answer to this question. Partner harboring yeast but not being treated for that is often the case. Co-existence of other infections such as bacterial vaginosis which may not be identified is another issue. Using tampons and certain hygiene products that may be offensive to the vagina may predispose women to recurrences.
