Gabapentin capsules: Gabapentin caps can generally be opened and mixed with jam, honey, or apple sauce without significant change in effect from swallowing the capsule whole. A single dose should be mixed and then swallowed directly, not mixed in advance. if you're considering changes to your med regimen, you should always discuss with your prescribing doc first -- so give him/her a buzz & be well :)
