No: JRA is technically inflammatory arthritis diagnosed under the age of 16. Because you were diagnosed at the age of 16 this is considered adult rheumatoid arthritis. Additionally, in my experience, most rheumatologists will see patients age 16 and older. Under age 16 patients with inflammatory arthritis are required to see a pediatric rheumatologist.
