See a doctor: May be an inguinal or groin hernia. See a doctor for an exam to see if it is pain from a muscle injury or a possible hernia. Find out what your options for possible treatments are.

Perhaps a hernia: You may be describing an incarcerated inguinal hernia, in which tissue (usually fat, but sometimes a loop of intestine) gets stuck in the hernia. You need to see your physician soon (within the next couple of days) to be examined. If it can't be reduced (pushed back), it may have to be fixed surgically.
